My name is Liam, I'm an embedded software engineer with a penchant for getting my hands dirty. I started my career as a mechanical engineer designing architectural water features, some of which can be seen at CityCenter in Las Vegas and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. I then moved on to building custom robots used for computational neuroscience research, where I was able to dive into a long held love of electronics and programming. After building my skills as an embedded systems engineer I found my way into the commercial drone space, working on safety-critical embedded software to control and fly drones for the enterprise market. Since then I have moved into the Autonomous Vehicle industry, working at Zoox and then Cruise, building safety-critical embedded systems for control, sensing, and actuation of self-driving cars.
I'm always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow, and, more than anything, I want my contributions to improve people's lives. If you have an extraordinary project that you think would benefit from my experience, please contact me.
